About Schedual

Built by two IB students to improve school timetabling.

Schedual was started by two IB students who saw how frustrating and outdated timetable systems could be. What began as a drive to improve existing scheduling tools has grown into a mission to help schools run better and give future students a stronger educational experience.

Founders

Two IB students who got tired of spreadsheets

Leo Bancroft

Founder · Product & Engineering

Built Schedual end-to-end. IB DP student who lived the weekend-long timetable spreadsheets and decided to fix it from the ground up. Handles product, code, and most of the day-to-day.

Erik Gerbst

Co-founder · Outreach & Partnerships

Co-founder focused on schools, partnerships, and making sure Schedual actually fits how IB coordinators work. Same IB cohort, complementary brain.

"Schedual didn't start as our idea. We were IB students ourselves when our coordinator told us — half-joking, half-serious — that she needed a real timetable tool built for IB schools, not a generic one stretched to fit. We took her seriously."

Principles

What we build for

Started by two IB students
Schedual began with two IB students who experienced the limits of existing timetable systems and wanted to build something more useful for real schools.
Built to improve timetabling
The goal is to improve how schools plan and manage schedules, with clearer workflows, less manual effort, and tools that reflect how IB schools actually operate.
Designed for future students
We believe better scheduling supports better learning environments, giving future students a more organized, reliable, and effective school experience.

How we work

A few things we won't compromise on

School data stays in the EU

Self-hosted Supabase on French + German VMs. No US transfer, no resale.

Real engineering — not no-code

Our own constraint solver, our own backend, our own deploy pipeline. We own every layer.

Open about how it works

Public security page, public DPA, public sub-processor list. No black boxes.

Ship weekly

Small team, tight loop. Bugs and feature requests usually ship within days.

Milestones

From spreadsheet to product

  1. Q3 2025

    First prototype

Hand-rolled spreadsheet replacement for our own IB cohort.

  2. Q4 2025

    OptaPlanner integration

Migrated from naive backtracking to a real constraint solver.

  3. Q1 2026

    Self-hosted infrastructure

Moved off Base44 onto our own EU-hosted Supabase + Cloudflare edge.

  4. Q2 2026

    Public launch

Bulk-import via AI, multi-cohort planning, GDPR-aligned legal stack.

Why this matters

Better timetables do more than save admin time. They create more stable school days, reduce friction for teachers and coordinators, and help students learn in an environment that feels more organized and intentional.

Focused outcome

A better scheduling system built with the belief that smarter school operations can contribute to better education for the students who come next.

Built for practical school use
