How it works
Most “schedule makers” are really just a nicer grid to drag classes onto by hand — you still do the thinking. Schedual is different: it runs a constraint-satisfaction solver, the same class of engine used to route fleets and plan factories, applied to your school’s timetable.
You describe the rules once — HL and SL weekly minutes, teacher availability, room capacity, subject-group minimums, per-student subject choices, lunch and break windows — and the solver explores an enormous space of possible schedules to find one where every rule holds at the same time. What takes an admin two weekends takes the solver seconds.
What the solver respects
The IB requires 240 hours over two years for HL and 150 for SL. The solver treats these as hard constraints, not reminders — every subject lands with the right weekly load.
In the Diploma Programme each student’s six chosen subjects must fit together with no clashes. The solver schedules at the individual level, not the cohort level.
