Most “school timetable software” was built for national curricula — UK GCSE blocks, French lycée groupes, US homerooms with fixed class lists. Each Diploma student has a six-subject combination across the six IB groups. The solver has to fit every student’s six subjects with no clashes — and keep group sizes within room capacity. A cohort-only tool cannot do this.
